Student Accessibility Services

Allen is currently serving as Interim Director of Student Accessibility Services and guiding SAS in addressing the accommodation needs of students with disabilities at Brown. Allen has worked with postsecondary institutions across New England and the U.S. in fulfilling their obligations under federal and State disability laws, and served in various leadership roles within the Office for Civil Rights and the Rehabilitation Services Administration within the U.S. Department of Education.  Allen regularly volunteers with organizations making differences in the lives of those with disabilities, is deeply committed to fostering opportunities and success for those with disabilities, and welcomes those across the Brown community to partner with SAS in that pursuit.
